Woods & Warner had the privilege of redesigning this graceful home, transforming its spaces to reflect a contemporary way of living while honouring its classic charm. In some areas, the team moved away from the traditional footprint to create a fresh, modern flow, whilst being careful to retain timeless elements that celebrate the home’s heritage. The result is a harmonious contrast between old and new—a space that feels both elegant and inviting. Traditional techniques of wainscotting, tessellated tile and stone inlays, wallpaper and classic trimming details were all embraced to embody a cohesive and layered identity to the spaces. The transition to the homes heritage and renovation is seamless. The building team cleverly restored the old gem whilst enhancing the structure. The restrained palette in areas is then heavily contrasted with moodier tones and defined antiques to ensure each of the zones carries their identity and purpose lovingly throughout. With many standalone moments it becomes difficult to pick one favourite as the home is carefully balanced within its layered aesthetic.
